AFRALTI and UKTA sign MoU

African Advanced Level Telecommunications Institute (AFRALTI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Kingdom Telecommunications Academy (UKTA) on 27th July 2013 at Lincoln in United Kingdom.

Participants from AFRALTI member Countries will be given a chance to attend seminars and qualify for negotiated deal with the Open University of Tanzania (OUT) to pursue eMCM (e-Master of Communications Management) and eLLM (e-Master of Law in IT and Telecommunications). In the spirit of decentralising our programmes, member Countries will have an opportunity to host some of the seminars.

The two Masters’ programmes are designed for candidates with three years working experience in ICT or Telecom. The mode of instruction is blended learning i.e. both face-to-face and online.

AFRALTI will join this arrangement by enrolling participants to attend seminars which if registered will count towards the masters degree with OUT.
The modules to be offered are Legal, Regulatory, Policy and Environment of a Converged Society; Project Management for ICT; Human Resources for ICT and Strategic Management for ICT. These four modules can be actually completed whilst participants are in full time employment.
