Training Costs

UKTA scholarship candidates do not pay the full published course fee for post graduate education scholarships and on average there is a saving of some £500 per day. For training courses UKTA delegates on courses provided by member companies receive high quality training at preferential rates'

After acceptance of a training scholarship offer, in all cases a non-refundable booking deposit will be required by the training provider before any booking is fully confirmed by them to the delegate. When making payments to the training provider, please ensure that you use your UKTA reference number so that it can be tracked swiftly and easily through the system. The training provider will provide full details about the deposit required and instructions on how to make payments (cheque or bank draft/transfer). The booking deposit will be deducted from total invoice training charges which must be paid on arrival and before attendance. Some training providers may require a daily charge to cover the cost of materials, manuals, meals and refreshments provided. Where a daily charge is required, it is clearly stated and, full details will be supplied during the offer/booking process.

Applicants must supply their own funding for their tuition where applicable, travel and UK living costs. As a guide, full board accommodation ranges from about £30 to £80 per day dependant on the venue, and accommodation selected. Transport costs between any two training locations should not be more than £50. Applicants should note that the UKTA cannot provide any financial support towards UK travel and living costs. Delegates arriving without adequate funding for their stay will not be allowed to begin the training and will be referred to their local embassy for immediate repatriation.
