Description

This course covers PC hardware and software, it teaches the student the components of the technology, how to build PCs, basic maintenance, how to load and configure various software packages and operating systems.  It introduces the concepts of networking, which is a follow on course.

Aims The aim of this instructor led course is to equip delegates with the knowledge and troubleshooting skills to enable them to work as a PC engineer.  The course and training material provided is designed as a foundation upon which with further private study delegates can take the CompTIA/A+220601 (Essentials) and 602/603 or 604 exams.
Who Would Benefit? Individuals wishing to have a greater understanding of PC technologies and Operating Systems.  The A+ qualification is in high demand and an ideal way to obtain employment in the IT industry or begin a consulting career. 
Prerequisites Previous use of Windows operating system and an understanding of how to use a computer keyboard and mouse.  The course starts from the very basics so is ideal for PC enthusiasts and the more technically minded.
